"The Elks Lodge in New Brunswick, NJ, stands as an enigmatic architectural gem. Despite its allure, the lodge's doors often remain closed, leaving its interior shrouded in mystery. The building's captivating design sparks curiosity about what lies within. The limited accessibility contrasts with its exterior's charm, leaving one yearning to uncover the secrets hidden behind those doors. While the reasons for its closure remain unknown, the Elks Lodge exudes an air of mystique that leaves passersby intrigued. It's a reminder that even a building's exterior can evoke a sense of wonder and captivation, leaving room for imagination to fill in the gaps of the untold stories within."

"Really cool building. Too bad it's headed for the chopping block in order to build another boring high rise apartment building."

"Visited here for the Melody Bar reunion. Since the Elks weren't responsible for the event, I'll only comment on what they controlled. The event space was a nice size, with a decent sized area to the left of the bar which served as the dance floor. The bar itself was long and the are in front of it was where people mingled. Across the hall was another room with a bar and tables for people to sit down. This was where I ordered my drinks as it seemed less crowded than the main room bar. They offered the full selection of alcoholic beverages (mixed drinks, bottled beer, beer on tap, and wine). The bartenders, who I am assuming were associated with the Elks were pleasant and efficient. The drinks were a reasonably priced ($4.50 for a Yeunling draft $5.00 for a vodka tonic). They also had a coat check service and the person working it was quick in taking and returning my coat. If I was considering holding an event in New Brunswick, I would certainly consider having it at the Elks Lodge."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
